This site was developed by Nebraska Public Power District and the utilities and municipalities which purchase electricity from NPPD at wholesale for distribution to approximately one million Nebraskans in our collective service territories. The purpose of this site is to help our customers understand that electric rates in Nebraska are predicted to increase dramatically over the next several years. The site contains information as to why rates are expected to increase, what NPPD and our wholesale customers are doing to help mitigate cost increases, and what consumers can do to help keep their costs down by using electricity wisely.
