Your Power

Public power utilities, like the Nebraska Public Power District keep electric rates low by using a diverse fuel mix to generate electricity.

NPPD's nuclear, coal, natural gas, wind, water and diesel facilities generate electricity for both wholesale and retail customers throughout Nebraska.

Using these resources in combination provdes the most economical power supply. In 2008, 40% of the energy produced for native load customers was free of carbon emissions.

NPPD's balanced power supply comes from: Coal, Wind, Nuclear, Water, Natural Gas, and Diesel resources.
